Some Summer Fun

Well, I haven't blogged pretty much at all this summer. We've been super busy with life. We had our first camping trip in years, for sure with that many kids! It went pretty well. The weather was beautiful and we played in the lake most of the days. We had the company of great friends, which made it even more enjoyable. Although, there was a aweful stomach bug that went around that next year can stay home away from our camping trip. My husband discovered a new love for fishing there, that he has continued through the summer since coming home. :) The kids are greatly enjoying the fishing trips with him. In fact he took Dylan and Brooklyn last night (poor Terrel was sick) and they couldn't stop talking about it! :)
Lots of days beating the heat by staying close to the water. We discovered our favorite spot up in the mountain to spend the day. It's perfect for the kids, and so long as we have a cooler full of food and lots to drink it's a great all-day trip! It takes an hour to get there, so we usually camp out there on Saturdays with our good friends :)
Brooklyn was a flower girl for the first time in her Auntie Carly's wedding. We welcomed David to the family. They had a beautiful Christ-centered wedding that was such a blessing to be apart of.
We didn't take any big vacations, camping was the longest away from home trip. Since Taylor's job gives him no time off in summer but lots in winter, we usually plan get aways for the winter months. :)
We found out that the Lord is blessing us with another sweet baby boy, and we couldn't be more excited!!! He will be here within the next 3-4 months and everyone couldn't be more thrilled!
We ordered our school books and today (9-6) was our first official school day, which overall went pretty well. It is quite challenging to keep the littles quiet while I do school with Terrel, but we'll get into a routine and figure it out. For today they went to play in the water outside on this 90 degree day!

Playing hard. . .

Makes very tired kids by the end of the hot summer day. . .
